The Dewpoint sensor module MTP 14.2 consists of an intelligent electronically integrated dewpoint sensor with integrated temperature sensor and a miniature element of Peltier. The components are mounted in a modified metal DIL package which can be connected to the cooler. The criterion of the dewpoint is definied through the change in capacity caused by the condensing damp on the strew field capacitor. The change in capacity is picked up from an integrated capacity- frequency converter. The Peltier element which cools the strew field capacitor can be operated in such a way as to fit a pre-defined condensation. This is achieved with a special regulating circuit. The cooling element, the capacitor and the temperature indicator make up a single thermal unit.
