The photo diodes consist of a GaN-Schottky- or AlGaN-Schottky-photodiode chip 0,3 x 0,3 mm², converted in a TO18-housing with UV-permeable glass window. Type UVD 370 has a high spectral sensitivity within a wavelength range from 230 nm to 370 nm. Because of internal filtering the spectral sensitivity is limited to the UVC-range at type UVD 280.
