It is based on the bedweing of a choosen Si chip (stray field capacitor), whose streamlines of the field interfuse the condensed water and cause a fast capacity change due to the changed capacitvity.
Furthermore the company develops and produces probes, control and display devices based on relative capacitive humidity sensors.
